Symptom
When going to click on Edit Online I get a popup message that reads "MS Office could not start."
Firefox Users
If you are using Firefox make sure that the add-on is enabled and that you don't have any pop blockers blocking it. You may get the following two types of messages within Firefox.
Chrome Users
As of Chrome 42, Google has disabled the NPAPI plugin by default in Chrome. Alfresco requires this plugin to function properly. Below are steps to use for re-enabling it.

- The first one usually happens automatically. Click "Allow"
- If you don't get any message then click on the icon that looks like a lego block to the very left of the address bar on your browser.
- Click "Allow and Remember"
